At TJ’s Swim, we believe swimming is about more than just strokes, laps, and times — it’s about teamwork, responsibility, and community.

Every piece of equipment we use, from kickboards to fins, plays a part in helping our swimmers grow stronger and more confident in the water.

But here’s the thing… our beloved fins are nearing extinction.

Over time, they’ve worn out, gone missing, or simply reached the end of their swim life.

Fins aren’t just tools — they’re an essential part of every lesson, helping swimmers develop correct body position, improve kick strength, and build endurance.

So, rather than simply replacing them behind the scenes, we wanted to turn this into a learning opportunity — a chance for our swimmers to take ownership, teamwork, and pride in restoring what helps them thrive.

Why the Fundraiser Matters

The Fins Fundraiser isn’t just about raising money; it’s about raising awareness, teamwork, and responsibility.

When swimmers help contribute to the gear they use, they learn the value of caring for it, respecting it, and sharing it with others in the program.

Each swimmer plays a part in keeping our swim boxes ready and full — ensuring every class has what it needs to run smoothly and safely.

It’s also a way to connect creativity with contribution.

By selling paint kits, our swimmers and families are helping fund new fins — all while spreading a little creative joy through art.

Every brushstroke and every kit sold helps put fins back in the boxes and smiles back on swimmers’ faces.

What They’ll Learn Along the Way

Taking part in the fundraiser teaches swimmers more than they might realise:

Responsibility – They learn to care for the equipment they use.

Teamwork – They’re part of something bigger than their lane.

Achievement – They can set goals, earn rewards, and feel proud of their contribution.

We’re thrilled to share that the Turbo Jets Committee has pledged to MATCH what our swimmers raise — dollar for dollar!

That means every Paint Kit sold makes double the impact, helping us replace fins faster and keep our swimmers equipped and thriving.

This incredible show of support reminds us that when our community comes together, we can make a real difference — in and out of the pool.

How the Fins Fundraiser Works

It’s simple, creative, and fun for everyone!

Each Paint Kit costs $40 and includes a pre-drawn canvas, paints, brushes, and a palette — everything you need to create a beautiful artwork at home.

Swimmers can sell kits to family, friends, and neighbours, with every sale helping to fund new fins for our swim program.

To make it extra exciting, swimmers can also earn rewards as they sell — from medals and water bottles to their very own fins, gear bags, and even a Swim Out of the Darkness pack for top sellers.

All orders are due by Thursday 28th November, with collection from 8th–12th December at the Aquatic Centre.
